Provence Cathedral V

The long central aisle of a church in Provence extends towards a brightly illuminated altar. Sunlight streams through tall stained-glass windows in the apse, casting a warm glow on the ornate golden reredos. Rows of wooden chairs, adorned with delicate white fabric, line the aisle, leading the eye to the sanctuary. Above dark wooden choir stalls, large framed paintings decorate the stone walls beneath the vaulted ceiling. The high arches and stone work rise towards the vaulted ceiling.
